Ron was born and raised in southeastern Michigan where he later held several managerial positions in the automotive industry. Ron, his wife, Carlene and son, Matthew relocated to Tellico Village in 1995 when Ron opened up “Ron’s Village Café” in the Village Square Shopping Center, and Carlene continued her established career in Occupational Health and Safety. In 1998 he began a successful management of the Toqua Golf Course restaurant. Because Ron was very knowledgeable of the area and had a knack for “selling” Tellico Village to his customers, he decided, with Carlene’s encouragement, to pursue a career in Real Estate. His 11 years in the restaurant business in Tellico Village allowed him to develop a substantial network of contacts and resources throughout the area.
